EXAM PREPARATION

An apple on the top of a pile of booksWould you like to obtain an internationally recognised French language diploma?

Are you planning on applying for French, Swiss or  Belgian citizenship?

Or do you need to certify your level in French to study in a French-speaking university?

My programme will be designed to help you to achieve the French language requirements to pass your exam.

For each tailor-made 60-minute one-to-one lesson, at no extra cost, I will:

  • Provide you with free online learning material (presentations, hand-outs, and audio-visual material)
  • If you wish, give you homework for you to complete before the following lesson
  • Correct your homework (Most language teachers do not offer this additional work but it is crucial in order to make real & quick progress!)

EXTRA: In addition to the lessons and the homework and in order to practice your French on a daily basis, I will create online flashcards and games you can use with different devices like your mobile, tablet, computer etc.

FRENCH LANGUAGE TESTS AND EXAMS:

The best-known test is DELF (diplôme d’études en langue française/level) but you can also take one of the following exams:

DALF: diplôme approfondi de langue française

TCF : test de connaissance du français

TEF : Test d’évaluation du français

DFP: diplôme de français professionnel

DHEF: diplôme de hautes études françaises

DULF: diplôme universitaire de langue française

The DELF and DALF lead to diplomas awarded by the French State.
The TCF does not lead to a diploma, but to a certificate of grading. This involves a simple and immediate validation. This test works as a snapshot of an individual’s linguistic skills at that moment in their life. As such, the TCF certification is only valid for two years, while the DELF and DALF are lifelong diplomas.

STUDYING IN FRANCE:

To be admitted to a French University International students are required to provide proof of their level of competency in French by taking a test. At present (but please double check!), you are not required to take an exam if you are coming to study in France via an exchange programme (e.g.: Erasmus) or if you hold a French Baccalaureate because you studied in a French school abroad.

The course will teach following skills: comprehending academic texts, writing and making oral presentations, discussing ideas or information taken from a scientific text, independent learning skills, and vocabulary expansion. I have taught in universities; I know what is expected of you.

All the lessons are truly tailor-made courses and customisable. I will listen to you and adapt and modify them where and when appropriate. To discuss your needs or course content, please contact me.
